Letter: Dems’ shameful ‘no’ vote to end shutdown

How very shameful that all four of Hawaii’s elected congressional delegation repeatedly voted to continue the U.S. government shutdown. It was never about health care for anyone; rather, it was all about nasty, even toxic politics.

Shame on Hawaii’s U.S. Sens. Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz, and U.S. Reps. Jill Tokuda and Ed Case. Their true character was revealed. They care far less for Hawaii’s people than they do for shameful partisan politics.
