Longhorns Daily News: Texas alum Kris Boyd is in stable condition after suffering gunshot wound

Former Texas cornerback Kris Boyd, who is now a member of the New York Jets, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen early Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.

According to NFL.com, the shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. ET outside a business on West 38th Street near 7th Avenue, as reported by the New York Police Department. The 29-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
