Microsoft & NVIDIA to invest in Anthropic, Claude to be scaled on Asuze & adopt NVIDIA architecture

Microsoft and NVIDIA have announced a new partnership that’ll see both companies invest up to $10 billion and $5 billion, respectively, into Anthropic, the tech company behind the Claude AI model. In return, Anthropic will purchase $30 billion in compute capacity from Microsoft’s Azure, which is powered by NVIDIA. The terms of the new partnership were revealed in a post on the Microsoft Blog. According to the companies, this deal will expand the availability of Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, to more users. Anthropic and NVIDIA will collaborate to design and engineer future LLMs (Large Language Models) for the former. A video featuring all three CEOs was published alongside the report. As part of the partnership, Microsoft will offer access to Claude in Microsoft Foundry. Microsoft’s Copilot apps will continue to grant access to Claude.
