BEIJING, China — Alibaba announced on Wednesday a “milestone collaboration” in artificial intelligence (AI) technology with US chip giant Nvidia. The Chinese company said this partnership will accelerate its development of humanoid robots.
The news came as Alibaba’s shares soared more than 9 percent in Hong Kong. This surge followed CEO Eddie Wu’s unveiling of plans to further ramp up the company’s innovation efforts.
