MANILA, Philippines — Grocery chain Makro is making a comeback in the Philippines after nearly two decades. This revival is being led by the Ayala group in partnership with its Thai counterpart.
Unlike before, Makro will now feature modern facilities that are no longer exclusive to members, opening its doors to a broader range of customers.
On Wednesday, Ayala Corp. subsidiary ACX Holdings Corp. signed a partnership deal with a Thai firm to spearhead this relaunch, signaling a new chapter for the brand in the local market.
