All Stats and what they do in Kirby Air Riders

nswitch2 kirbyairriders 16 feature

Kirby Air Riders is a welcome blend of frantic action and absolute madness, but that doesn’t mean it is devoid of tactics and strategy. As you play, you will have the option to pick up icons that represent stats, boosting your machine in various ways. It is not always obvious what these icons mean, or what those stats actually do, however. All Stats and what they do in Kirby Air Riders Boost The boost icon looks like a double upward arrow, and is a rather fetching pinkish-purple. This stat will improve the overall acceleration of your machine, including the speed at which you will accelerate during a charged boost. Top Speed Denoted by a blue fireball icon, Top Speed is the very fastest speed our machine can reach. You should be careful with this, as you might find it difficult to control some machines if you boost their top speed by too much. Turn A green looping arrow icon indicates the Turn state, which improves handling and increases your turn speed. Once again, be careful with this. Too much can make machines very awkward to control. Charge A golden yellow battery icon indicates the Charge stat and will cause your boost charge meter to fill faster when holding B. You can never have enough of this stat due to the overall impact on your speed. Glide A nice pair of white wings indicates the Glide stat and will impact how far and fast you can glide, as well as how hard it is to glide in the first place. This stat and the next, Weight, are directly related, as more weight makes it harder to glide. Weight The classic grocery weight symbol in a nice bronze color indicates Weight. This will give you more grip on the road, but also means you do more damage when you smash into other drivers. Too much will interfere with your Glide stat, however. I’d suggest deciding if you want to glide or smash things up on any given track and act accordingly. Offense An orange icon that looks to be broken in two will earn you more Offense, which once again allows you to hit harder. If you want to do more damage, but retain a light vehicle, this is the stat to chase. Defense An icon that looks like blue brackets is the Defense stat, and it will give you some resistance against incoming damage. This seems to be percentage-based, so the higher the stat, the higher the percentage of incoming damage is mitigated. HP A red heart, the universal symbol for Health. The more times you pick this up, the bigger the healthpool of your machine. Probably the most important stat for aggressive drivers.
