TOKYO — Frances Tiafoe experienced a frustrating first-round exit at the Japan Open on Wednesday, losing to qualifier Marton Fucsovics.
The eighth-seeded Tiafoe struggled with his first serve throughout the match, ultimately falling 3-6, 6-1, 7-5. In a moment of visible frustration, he smashed his racket against the court.
