Cullman, Ala In the midst of SNAP benefits being taken away and dear season staring, The Pantry at The Link launches Open Season On Hunger. The Pantry at The Link encourages hunters, as deer season kicks off, to select cuts from their game to donate. They are partnering with Weaver Meat Processing and Brothers Processing for these donations. With this partnership, meat can be brought directly to the facilities to be divided into what is donated and what is going home with the consumer. From there whatever is donated will be set aside for The Pantry and picked up in due time. This makes it easier for hunters to donate without having to bring it by the facility. The Link encourages any participants in Open Season on Hunger to call these establishments ahead of bringing their game in. With deer hunting kicking off they have the potential to be very busy. Letting them know beforehand helps ensure the best use of your time, theirs, and helps The Link properly plan for donation pick ups. For Weaver Meat Processing please call (256) 462-1034. They are located at 2098 Highway 555W, Hartselle, AL 35640. For Brothers Processing please call (205) 388-7049. They are located at 551 County Road 485, Hanceville, AL 35077. If you have additional questions for The Link please call their office at.
