The day has finally arrived for Nintendo fans: the eagerly awaited game can now be released! Early reviews suggest that this game is outstanding and sets a new standard for what games on the Nintendo Switch 2 should look like.
As one of the biggest Nintendo fans here at Shacknews, I felt it was only right to put the game through its paces. Although The Stevetendo Show has been on a December recess lately, you never know when another Metroid game will launch, so we’ve put together a special episode to celebrate.

Please note that the schedule for The Stevetendo Show is a bit “all over the place” this month. We’re currently in the thick of our Shacknews Game of the Year deliberations, which can be quite time-consuming.
Don’t worry though — the fan-favorite games you love watching me play, like *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* and *Super Mario Galaxy 2*, will be returning in 2026. Plus, we’ll have brand new playthroughs starting soon, so there’s plenty more to look forward to.
