The Apex Legends Global Series wrapped up another exciting year over the holiday weekend. Oblivion emerged victorious from an action-packed final round, claiming the title of Apex Legends world champions in front of a capacity crowd in Sapporo, Japan.

With the competitive year now behind us, all that’s left is to do it all again. On Monday, EA and Respawn announced that the ALGS will return for Year 6, featuring an even bigger prize pool.

“Year 6 of the ALGS represents a significant step forward for Apex Legends esports,” reads the post on the Apex Legends Global Series website. “With a return to our fan-favorite Split Playoffs structure featuring three global LAN events, and a total prize pool of $7,000,000 USD — marking a $1,000,000 USD increase for ALGS Year 6 — this is our most ambitious competitive year to date.”

Year 6 of the ALGS will feature three major events:

– **Split 1 Finals:** Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the Esports World Cup in July. Riyadh is also home to the prospective new owners of Electronic Arts.
– **Split 2 Finals:** Las Vegas, Nevada, in October.
– **ALGS Championship Weekend:** Returning to Sapporo, Japan, for the third consecutive year in January 2027.

With these exciting events on the horizon, Apex Legends esports fans have plenty to look forward to as the competition heats up once again.
