CHICAGO (WLS) — A power outage and wire issues at Metra’s Millennium Station in the Loop are impacting train service on multiple lines.
Metra Electric and South Shore Line train services are affected, Metra confirmed. According to an official statement, “Due to wire problems and a power outage at Millennium Station, Metra Electric inbound and outbound trains will originate and terminate at Van Buren St. Station until further notice. Outbound trains will not depart from Millennium Station.”
The South Shore Line is also experiencing disruptions due to these issues, Metra informed ABC7 Chicago.
At this time, it is unclear how long the service adjustments will remain in effect or the full extent of the delays.
