Don't Miss These Key Things in Akkala Sky

The Akkala Sky hovers above the northeast corner of the Hyrule map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These skies include the islands aboveAkkala.

Sokkala Sky Archipelago

Archipelagos are a set of islands that hover over a specific section of Hyrule. All sky regions have multiple archipelagos, and you can reach most archipelagos by launching out of a Skyview Tower.

Launch from theUlri Mountain Skyview Tower and paraglide southwest to reach the Sokkala Sky Archipelago. Given the elevation of the islands in this archipelago, your best bet to reach the archipelago is to make it to the eastern tip of the large island.

Check out our Akkala Sky - All Archipelagos Guide.

Sky Mine are islands located northeast of the Sokkala Sky Archipelago. To reach the island, you need to build a flying vehicle on the east island of the Sokkala Sky Archipelago. The east island of the Sokkala Sky Archipelago will have a circular pool.

The best vehicle to build is a plane with three fans, a controller, and two (or more) batteries. You will need a lot of battery life to reach the Sky, so bring with you a lot of Zonai Charges.

It can be very difficult to reach the Sky Mine. Our Gikaku Shrine Guide (Check Below) goes over in more detail how to get to the Sky Mine.

North Akkala Sky Archipelago

The North Akkala Sky Archipelago is directly north of Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. The North Akkala Sky Archipelago is pretty bare, consisting mostly of one large circular island and another smaller island on the east.

You can theoretically make it to the North Akkala Sky Archipelago by launching from Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and gliding north. However, you will need about 4 rings of stamina and plenty of Elixirs to reach the islands. Building a flying device can work, but you will need a lot of Zonai Battery life to reach the archipelago.

Lomei Sky Labyrinth

After completing theLomei Labyrinth Islandon the surface, the Lomei Sky Labyrinth will open for you in the Akkala Sky.

Make your way to the small island on the east side of the North Akkala Sky Archipelago. Build a flying device on the island with the wind gliders and the fans to reach the Lomei Sky Labyrinth on the northeast corner of the Hyrule map.

Akkala Sky Shrines

Three shrines are up in the skies above the Akkala Region in Hyrule. Two Shrines are part of a Side Quest to enter them.

  • Natak Shrine
  • Gikaku Shrine

This Shrine is found in the Lomei Sky Labyrinth.

  • Mogisari Shrine

Side Quests and Side Adventures

Some Side Quests and Side Adventures on Hyrule's surface lead to the Sky Islands, but there aren't many Side Quests or Side Adventures that Link can accept in Sky Hyrule.

The only exception is Shrine Quests Link needs to carry a green crystal to a Shrine Location to unlock a Shrine. These Shrine Quests are covered in ourShrine Guides.

Sage's Will

Sage's Wills areKey Items found in chests throughout the Hyrulian skies. Some Sage's Wills can be picked up from stray chests, whereas others can only be collected from solving a puzzle or defeating a miniboss wandering in the sky islands.

When you've collected at least four Sage's Will, head to a Goddess Statue. The statue will then offer to upgrade the attack power of one of these sages in exchange for four Sage's Will. This will transform the sage avatar ability into the stronger "Solemn Vow."

For more info on Sage's Will, check up on our Guide on the Key Item.

There is one Sage's Wills in the Akkala Sky in TotK.

  • Sokkala Sky Archipelago Sage’s Will

The Sage’s Will is located in the bottom section of the giant floating sphere in the Sokkala Sky Archipelago.

Manipulate the sphere using Ultrahand on the controller inside the sphere. Move the entranceway to the bottom half of the structure and Paraglide out of the sphere. Glide down into the entranceway and open the chest in the center of the room to get the Sage’s Will.

There are two Zonai Dispensers in the Akkala Sky.

The first Zonai Dispenser is on the Sokkala Sky Archipelago, across from the Natak Shrine on the cross-shaped island.

To reach the cross-shaped island, launch from theUlri Mountain Skyview Tower and paraglide to the eastern tip of the largest island on the Sokkala Sky Archipelago. You should find a Zonai hovercraft on the island that will take you up to the cross-shaped island where the Natak Shrine and Zonai Dispenser lie.
