Aaron Rodgers and first-place Steelers confident in their passing game options after quiet deadline
The Pittsburgh Steelers opted to stand pat rather than make a move for another veteran wide receiver at the trade deadline. That decision was fine by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who says he likes the group of pass catchers at his disposal for the first-place Steelers. Pittsburgh did sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad, reuniting him with Rodgers, whom he played alongside in Green Bay earlier in their respective careers. The Steelers are the only team in the NFL who have had nine different players catch a touchdown and eight different players with at least 100 yards receiving. Rodgers has credited the group for not being selfish, one of the reasons he thinks they’ve been successful.
