Maruha Nichiro Corp., the world’s largest seafood company by revenue, announced a record consolidated operating profit of JPY 125 million for the first half of fiscal 2025. This represents a 17% year-on-year increase, fueled primarily by a strong rebound in its Alaska pollock operations.
The Tokyo-based group attributed the solid performance to a structural recovery in its Alaska pollock business, alongside robust results in its European markets. These factors combined to drive the company’s impressive growth during the first two quarters of fiscal 2025, reinforcing its leadership position in the global seafood industry.
